We also pay attention to raw materials, production and packaging in order to provide the best quality to all our customers. The production, packaging and storage processes are HACCP (Hazard Analysis And Critical Control Points) qualified, and we distribute products made on an bio production line following all Nébih regulations. Since we manufacture in Hungary, there is no need to wait long for delivery or disruptions due to lack of stock, we always deliver fresh products. We buy all our raw materials from reliable and approved suppliers with whom we have long-term relationships. We sample our raw materials upon arrival to ensure they meet our specifications. HEVONEN has an extensive testing schedule throughout the year that includes nutrient analysis, microbiology, mycotoxins, insecticides, pesticides and heavy metals to monitor and ensure compliance.

2. HEVONEN wants the best for the horses 

All ingredients are selected in such a way that we can create the best mixtures for horses. We source many of them locally, in Hungary, to support Hungarian SMEs, entrepreneurs and agriculture. Each partner is carefully selected based on their quality and suitability. This, together with our meticulous production techniques, means that a HEVONEN feed is truly different from a feed bag from another manufacturer - digestibility and balance are the keys.

3. The HEVONEN founders are also horse owners 

The founding team has a total of almost 40 years of experience as horse owners, which means that they have already faced many obstacles, not just fences... They have gained a lot of experience in elite sports (show jumping, dressage), hobby horse keeping, breeding and training of yearling horses internationally. They have already visited many stables, competitions, and have kept horses at home. Furthermore, most of the feeds available on the market have already been fed with more or less success. Their goal is to ensure that their own horses receive the best-composed feeds in the right form. It fills them with happiness if the other horses can also benefit from excellent forage.

4. HEVONEN sees horses holistically 

We see the horses not only from the performance segment - so the feed has been optimized in terms of digestibility, so  the horses can digest and utilize the feeds as easily as possible. The mixes support the immune system as they are rich in fibre and amino acids. This holistic approach means looking at the whole horse and considering its anatomy, physiology and mental health when preparing feed. Due to their nature, horses eat small portions every day and their nutrition is mainly based on the consumption of fibrous forage. HEVONEN feeds do not disturb the natural gut microbiome of horses. Happy, healthy horses are easier to train, ride and handle.

We consider its importance to follow the latest research and the continuous development of science. In our view, mixing innovation and tradition plays a major role when we develop feed. The team constantly attends further training and we incorporate new scientific discoveries into our work.
